I am going to try and update the web site better this year so hopefully I will get pictures and videos up during the season and not the following year :)

So far all the controllers are wired and most all of the non light stuff is up. I am trying to not put lights up until after Halloween so we will see how that goes, hopefully everything will get done in time for the after Thankgiving, Black-Friday night kickoff. While everyone is out shopping and fighting the crowds, I will be tweaking the display.

I probably will have about the same amount of lights as last year, maybe a few more. After Christmas my light budget went towards LED's, trying to do the "green" thing and also cut down on my light bill.New I added 2 more controllers for a total this year of 240 computer controlled circuits. New elements to the display are the "belligio" poles and a "marty" fan.

The biggest change is the display will be totally in the front yard. Traffic last year was pretty bad so I added in a driveway out to Old Federal and will allow parking in the yard between the driveways. Hopefully if we have as much rain as last year the yard wont get torn up to bad.

Got started hanging lights. Dana started wrapping trees and I worked on the icicle lights. Dana wrapped about 8 trees and I did a few icicles at least it was a start.

I am thinking about collecting for a charity this year. I always wanted the display to be free so hopefully people wont feel obligated to donate. I have been asked every year about donations and I have always said no. It is something I will be working on in the next few weeks, picking a charity and building a donation box.

Got a lot done this weekend, the weather was beautiful so we took advantage of it. On Saturday Eugenia and I decorated the 16 "mini" trees while Dana wrapped a few more trees. On Sunday the mega tree went up, we had a few scarry moments but all in all the plan worked out alright. It isn't as easy as it would seem to raise 100 strands of lights 22 feet into the air. Hopefully over the next month and a half they wont all come crashing down.

Another beautiful weekend for decorating outdoors. On Sunday, it was so warm I worked up a sweat. I finished just about everything except for the house. Everything appears to be on schedule for the big friday liteup.
